BREAKING: Police cordon off Salford streets after boy, 17, stabbed multiple times

A teenage boy has been stabbed ‘multiple times’ in Salford.

The 17-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds after police were called to Queensway, in Swinton, just after 1.30pm on Monday.

Officers were called to reports of an ‘altercation’ between three people involving knives.

A GMP spokesperson said: “Officers attended and found a 17 year-old boy with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital and his injuries aren’t believed to be life threatening.

“This is believed to be an isolated incident, police remain at the scene and investigations are on-going.”

A police helicopter was scrambled as officers responded to the attack, with a large cordon erected on Dover Road and Denbigh Road.

Pictures from the scene show a residential area being guarded by police officers.
