A 20-year-old male from McKinney, Texas was arraigned last Thursday for attempting to break into a business in Benzonia on May 5.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post were dispatched to Lake & Leaf Cannabis on Benzie Highway for a possible intrusion.
There was damage to the building and a backpack containing a saw.
The investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Nathanael Dufur and he was arrested at his place of employment on May 19.
Dufur had been staying at a local resort since March with a family member and was working in the area.
Dufur was arraigned in the 85th District Court of Benzie County for one count possession of burglary tools and one count attempted breaking and entering of a building with intent.
His bond was set at $10,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on June 7.
