The University of Missouri is moving forward with health leaders to return faculty to campus, host adolescent vaccination clinics, and put on a handful of graduation ceremonies.
Final Day of May Graduation at Mizzou – Sunday, May 16
A university spokesperson says each graduation ceremony has around 300 graduates. Each graduate was allotted six tickets for each ceremony and each event is set to last 45 minutes.
The university doesn’t anticipate any traffic or parking issues for the ceremonies.

MU Health Care Adolescent Vaccination Clinics – Monday, May 17 & Thursday, May 20
MU Health Care is set to host two vaccination clinics aimed at reaching 12 to 15-year-olds this week. Appointments are scheduled for 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. to accommodate kids attending school. The clinics will be hosted at Faurot Field.
As of Sunday morning at 5 a.m. there were over 190 appointments available for Monday and over 370 appointments available for Thursday. A sign-up link can be found on the MU Health Care website, here.
Anyone under the age of 18-years-old, needs to have a vaccine consent form signed by a parent or guardian.
University Faculty & Staff Return – Monday, May 17
Almost all of Mizzou’s faculty and staff will return to in-person work on Monday. The university announced the return in late March and decided to return faculty and staff due to the large accessibility of the vaccine.
The university website says face coverings are required for both vaccinated and unvaccinated employees when in close contact (six feet or less) for 15 minutes or more.
The university says faculty who are on nine month appointments without duties over the summer should plan to return to in-person work in August.
