One person was seriously injured on Wednesday afternoon in a train versus vehicle collision at Chambers Road and Smith Road in Aurora.
According to crash reports from the Aurora Police Department, Chambers Road will remain closed to northbound traffic for an extended period of time following the “vehicle vs RTD A-Line train” crash.

Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route during this time. A report from KDVR says RTD is using buses to replace the train service between 61st and Pena.
It’s unclear if any passengers were injured or how many were aboard the train at the time of the crash.
The University of Colorado A-Line is a 23-mile electric commuter rail that connects Union Station to Denver International Airport.
