Couple arrested for breaking into, stealing from Kennewick home

KENNEWICK, Wash —  Two people have been arrested after police located them attempting to get away from the Kennewick house they recently stole from.

According to the Kennewick Police Department 59-year-old, David Jones and 43-year-old Jennifer Briones are suspected of breaking into an unoccupied house near the 500 block of W Kennewick Ave.

The call for a potential residential burglary came in around 6:30 pm Thursday. When officers arrived, they saw Jones and Briones leaving the house and heading towards the alleyway.

Once the couple was apprehended, police recovered stolen items believed to be from the house. A witness with photo evidence of the suspects at the house was also obtained.

Upon further investigation, authorities confirmed  Jones and Briones had stolen items from the home. Resulting in their booking at the Benton County Jail for residential burglary.

They may also be facing additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. Along with a potential charge of a stolen check which was found in Briones’ possession.
