Wynden Stark, a London-based business that includes staffing firm GQR, announced last week that it acquired a firm called untapt, a New York-based startup that provides data science and technology for talent acquisition and recruitment.

With the deal, Wynden Stark aims to accelerate its global growth and add additional capabilities.

“With this acquisition, we are combining best-in-class talent acquisition with best-in-class engineering and data science,” Wynden Stark CEO Steven Talbot said. “We have a mission to create an intelligent talent acquisition platform that reimagines recruitment and elevates human experiences.”

Wynden Stark and untapt had previously been collaborating on artificial intelligence technology to match job seekers with opportunities.

“This acquisition is everything that we had hoped for as a startup: an opportunity to collaborate with one of the fastest-growing talent acquisition firms in the world,” said Ed Donner, founder of untapt and now chief technology officer at GQR. “An opportunity to massively amplify the impact of recruiters, employers, and job seekers, and an opportunity to take our technology to a scale that we had only dreamed of.”

GQR’s executive team remains the same except for the addition of Donner as well as the additions of John Krohn as chief data scientist and Gareth Moody as head of enterprise sales.
