My heart is breaking for the teachers in the Grand Forks School District who are being told they may not have a job next year due to budget cuts. These teachers give their all to their students. They have gone above and beyond during the pandemic to keep students learning and engaged. They have been so flexible and instead of giving them a raise, which they all deserve, we are letting them know they might not have a job next year.
Our children are our future and they are benefiting from these amazing teachers. I am appealing to the school board to find a way not to cut teacher positions. I am appealing to the public to contact School Board members and let them know we need our teachers, we value our teachers, we demand our teachers. All teachers, all departments. The school board meeting is April 12. Please use your voice and support our teachers!
