Not long ago when we had the ice and snow storm, most of my patients couldn’t come in, so I sat in my office and did 17 telemedicine visits in my office,” said Dr. Randy Easterling.Leaders have said that access to telehealth is especially important in reaching Mississippians that live in more rural areas. It is also supposed to help those who can not access hospital resources as easily as others.
