Deutsche Bank has announced that Stefan Schaffer will assume the position of Head of DB Global Technology, Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Bucharest that focuses on developing financial and banking software applications.
Schaffer joins the Bucharest team while continuing to perform his current role of Head of Central Chief Information Office (CIO) for Technology, Data & Innovation at Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank.
Schaffer joined Deutsche Bank in July 2020 and has almost 30 years of experience in delivering exceptional IT solutions for businesses, including risk management, compliance, and anti-fraud. Schaffer studied at what is today the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science.

DB Global Technology is set to continue expanding its local team and developing new projects in 2021. The centre in Bucharest now has 1,000 team members and continues to grow, hiring specialists in cloud technologies, cyber security, networking, and SAP S/4 Hana platform testing.
