Greenville police share “Frank” assessment of breaking & entering call

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A reported breaking and entering found officers face to face with the wild offender.

Police say the caller at the home off Mulberry Lane thought someone was pulling on her back door handle to get into the home.

Officers ended up finding “Frank” the opossum trying to get a snack.

“He was informed of his rights and released back into the wild,” police wrote on their Facebook page.

One commenter on their page did not believe Frank was trespassing, merely on “pest control duties.”
