Seven people from Ontario will be fined $1,550 each for breaking Quebec’s COVID-19 rules by gathering at an Airbnb in Cantley, according to police.
Police received a complaint about a residence on Hogan Street, according to a release from the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais.
One of the seven people had rented the place on Airbnb. All of the people left by car or taxi except the tenant.
Pandemic rules for the area prohibit congregation inside of people from different households except in limited circumstances.
The fines are issued under the Public Health Act, said police.
