Sam Burns will try and hold off a cadre of heavy-hitters at the Genesis Invitational on Sunday and grab his first PGA Tour win. Things will get started early at Riviera Country Club as the third round is restarted. Burns has a two-stroke lead on the field but multiple major winners on his heels as Dustin Johnson, Patrick Cantlay, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Jordan Spieth are all chasing.
Whatever happens on the final day of the tournament to conclude the west coast swing is going to be dramatic. It always is when somebody looking for their first is trying to get it to the house, and D.J. and Spieth are involved. Riviera should take center stage, too, as it has been playing like a major championship venue all week and should continue that trend all day on Sunday in this Genesis finale.
