2 Men In Custody After Breaking Into Jewelry Store, Leading Officers On Chase, Tulsa Police Say

Two men were arrested on Tuesday morning after police say they broke into a jewelry store and led officers on a chase.

According to police, Promenade Mall security called TPD after they saw two men breaking into the south end entrance on camera. Police said that once the two men we inside the shopping mall, they broke into the Abbey’s Jewelry store and stole multiple bags of jewelry.

The suspects were able to flee the jewelry store however, officers who were driving nearby spotted the vehicle and began to chase the suspects.

The chase eventually came to an end in the parking lot of a hotel near East 31st and Memorial drive, when both men fled from the vehicle.

According to police, one man ran through a parking lot and was caught, while the other suspect ran into an extended stay hotel and attempted to break into rooms on the second floor to hide from authorities before being caught.

Police said both men are from out of state and the vehicle was a rental.

Neither suspect has been identified by police.
