Memorial Highway is shut down in both directions due to a water main break in Hillsborough County.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said the water main break is on Memorial Highway at Sweetwater Creek.
The highway is shut down in both directions between Saltwater Blvd to Dana Shores Dr.
Officials are asking drivers to use alternate routes.
Beginning at 9 p.m., all eastbound lanes on Memorial Highway will be closed between Kelly Road and Dana Shores Drive while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break.
Barricades and signs will be in the area to assist with traffic flow.
Officials said the completion of the work is expected by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
