Enterprise, Ala. (WDHN)—Recently, a longtime guidance counselor at Enterprise High School was named principal of the district’s Enterprise Career and Technology Center.

The center’s goal is to provide training for EHS students, who are looking to enter different fields including it, engineering, and health sciences.

Recently, Cami McClenny was selected to fill the vacant role of principal at Enterprise Career and Technology Center… For McClenny, it is her first role as principal.
She had served the last 21 years as a guidance counselor at Enterprise High. The 1993 Northview High graduate in Dothan has been steering young people to careers for more than two decades.

College is the direction for many. But, today’s job market often requires specific skill sets. The Enterprise Career and Technology Center provides training in
about a dozen different fields including engineering and health sciences.

McClenny says “at one point we were getting everybody ready for college, but now swinging back in the other direction realizing not everybody is
going to go to college. There are some high paying jobs you can get without going to college and we will do that.”

For McClenny, she feels her years of guiding students down career paths will help in her new position as a school principal. She adds “I’m really excited to work in a different avenue with that. Still helping to prepare students for the future whether the workforce or college.”

At the time of her selection, Enterprise School Superintendent Greg Faught says McClenny as selected from a “deep field” of applicants
due to her rich background in career tech, she was chosen.
