“So we continue reminding people to keep lights on, park in a well-lit area, keep valuables out of plain sight, lock your car, use your alarm,” Gould said. “Too many people have alarms but don’t use them for some reason. It’s not to say someone won’t force their way in, but usually if the door is locked they walk away.”
