Marana Unified School District offering meals during fall break

TUCSON (KVOA) – As students in Pima County head into fall break, the Marana Unified School District still plans on providing meals to those in need.

The District announced that its Marana Cares Mobile Service will still be available during the weeklong break, which begins Monday.

The service provides students with free and nutritious meals in an air-conditioned mobile facility with serving areas.

District officials say the refurbished mobile unit offers a fun dining experience, with free internet service and laptops for students to do homework.

Marana Cares Mobile has served 16,343 meals to date, including 6,000 meals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Marana Cares Mobile schedule:
• Monday, Oct. 12th through Friday, October 16th from 11 A.M. to noon at the southeast corner Sandario Rd. and Anthony Rd. Next to the Marana Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness Church 12:30 – 1:30 pm 16560 W. El Tiro Rd.

• Monday, Oct. 12th through Friday, October 16th from 12:30 PM. to 1:30 P.M. at the Marana Domestic Water Improvement District.
