CenturyLink Rebrands as Lumen Technologies

Washington’s CenturyLink has rebranded itself as Lumen Technologies as it looks to help lead enterprises through the challenges and opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution — a time when smart, connective devices are everywhere.

“Our people are dedicated to furthering human progress through technology. Lumen is all about enabling the amazing potential of our customers, by utilizing our technology platform, our people, and our relationships with customers and partners,” stated Lumen president and CEO Jeff Storey in a press release.

CenturyLink will formally change its name to Lumen Technologies and will deliver large-enterprise solutions under that brand.

The company stated that CenturyLink will remain the brand for residential and small business customers over “traditional networks.”

It also announced the launch of Quantum Fiber, a fully digital platform for delivering fiber-based products and services to residents and small businesses. Quantum Fiber will use the power of Lumen’s fiber network and infrastructure.

CenturyLink is the largest local telephone company in Washington, and assists about 720,000 residential and business phone lines. The company serves Tacoma, Olympia, and the rest of the South Sound, as well as cities like Bellevue and Seattle.
