One person hurt in early morning shooting at Waterloo liquor store

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) — Waterloo police are investigating a Friday morning shooting.

They said they responded to shots fired in the parking lot of New Star Liquor in the 1600 block of West 4th Street around 2:05 a.m.

One person has non-life-threatening inuries and was taken to the hopsital, according to police.

Our KWWL crew saw crime scene tape and dozens of evidence markers scattered around the parking lot and in the street.

Northbound and westbound traffic at the ‘Six Corners’ intersection is closed while authorities investigate.

Police said they have not made any arrests.
