'Breaking the Silence Walk' will remember loved ones lost to suicide in Natrona

CASPER, Wyo. — The annual “Breaking the Silence Walk” to raise awareness about suicide and to support suicide prevention is set to take place from 9 am to noon on Sept. 12 at Crossroads Park in Casper.

The Natrona County Suicide Prevention Task Force is hosting the walk.

“Join the Task Force for a morning of remembrance of loved ones
who we have lost to suicide,” the task force says. “The walking path will be along the river, feel free to walk the whole path or part of the path.”

Lunches will be available for 300 people at the event. Information resource tables will also be at the walk.

“In order to keep everyone safe and healthy, the Task Force will be implementing safety precautions such as sanitation stations, social distancing and limiting gathering areas,” the task force adds. “This event is free to everyone to come and support suicide prevention and awareness.”

The 2020 “Breaking the Silence Walk” will be the 17th year the event has taken place. Further details are available from the Natrona County Suicide Prevention Task Force.
