White Sox prospect Dane Dunning will make his Major League debut on Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers.
It was announced earlier this week that Detroit prized prospect Casey Mize will take the hill Wednesday against the White Sox. The White Sox in turn will bring up Dane Dunning for a matchup featuring two former first round picks.
Dunning was traded to the White Sox in 2016 in a deal that sent Adam Eaton to the Nationals in exchange for Reynaldo Lopez, Lucas Giolito and himself, is the last of the three pitching prospects the Sox received to make his debut on the South Side.
The White Sox rotation has been decimated by injuries to Reynaldo Lopez and Carlos Rodon could receive a major boost if Dunning can prove he has the stuff to stick around for the remainder of the season.
