ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Due to Virginia officials’ recommendations amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rockbridge Area Recreation Organization (RARO) announced Friday the cancellation of several fall sports programs, but also the availability of free clinics for other sports.
According to RARO’s Facebook post on Friday, Aug. 14, in response to Gov. Ralph Northam’s suggestions with regard to high-risk sports, the organization decided to cancel its soccer, football, cheerleading, and River Runners programs for the fall.
