Align Capital Partners acquires Texas maker of electronic tolling technology

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Align Capital Partners, the private equity firm in Shaker Heights, has acquired a Dallas-area company that provides electronic tolling technology and smart mobility software to governments and operators of interstate tolling plazas.

Electronic Transaction Consultants Corp. of Richardson, Texas, which had been owned by Atlantia SpA of Italy, designs software that enables highway tolling agencies to electronically collect tolls and cities to manage traffic congestion electronically.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
