Man Charged With Breaking in to Jewish Temple in Worcester – NBC Boston

A Massachusetts man is facing charges for allegedly breaking into a Jewish temple, then returning to try and break in again, police said.

Kyle Wood, 28, of Leicester, was arrested Thursday and charged with breaking and entering and vandalism, Worcester police said in a statement.

Officers responded to Temple Emanuel Sinai in Worcester on Wednesday for a report of a past break-in and found a broken window and some damage to the temple, police said.

On Thursday morning, police responded to the nearby Jewish Community Center for a report of a man screaming at parents and children at a camp dropoff line.

The man was kicking the Star of David and appeared to be “threatening and out of control,” police said. He also pulled a lawn sign out of the grass and threw it down.

He left before police arrived, but a short time later police received another report of a man breaking into the temple. Officers responded and arrested Wood, police said.

Police did not say when Wood would be arraigned. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
