Reynoldsville, PA – Two people are in jail after breaking into a Reynoldsville home while they thought the family was away, stealing prescription drugs, and threatening the family who turned out to be home… including using a bra to restrain a teenage girl.

According to State Police in DuBois, 30-year-old Jeremy Appleton from Reynoldsville and 36-year-old Andrea Roton from DuBois entered a home on Grant Street Extension in Reynoldsville around noon last Sunday, July 19.

Roton believed the family was at the DuBois airport, but they were home.

Roton reportedly attempted to restrain a 17-year-old girl using a bra, but the teen managed to escape from the home.

The pair of thieves allegedly rummaged through the home and stole prescription medications.

Roton also reportedly threatened another member of the household, threatening to shoot both him and his family.

Appleton had fled in a motorized vehicle as police got to the scene. He was later taken into custody and will face additional charges for his attempted escape.

After all the victims safely left the house, Roton went back inside and she refused to come out. Troopers were able to get into the house through a window and take her into custody.

Both Roton and Appleton are in the Jefferson County Jail, awaiting their court dates.
