A welcome break from heat, high humidity to finish the weekend

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – After Saturday’s rocky weather, we are being treated to an exceedingly pleasant summer day.

Expect ample sunshine with, at times, partly cloudy skies through much of the day. Northerly breezes will help keep the humidity levels lower with dew points in the low to mid 60s. They will also keep our highs a bit lower, too, with temperatures generally in the lower 80s.

Monday looks similar, though winds will shift to the south allowing temperatures to warm a bit and humidity to creep upward slowly. This sets up a chance for showers and storms Tuesday through Wednesday.

Another dry day looks likely on Thursday, before temperatures jump once again into the upper 80s and lower 90s toward the weekend, along with plentiful humidity. This brings a couple of slight chances of showers and storms with it.
