From the Health Department: Auburndale Music attendees test positive

By the Wood County Health Department

Multiple individuals, including some Wood County residents, who attended the Auburndale Music Fest activities held on June 27-28 have tested positive for COVID-19. While in attendance some cases were likely contagious. Cases were known to have been at the food and beverage distribution areas as well as in attendance at and participating in softball and volleyball games.

“The Wood County Health Department is unable to determine all of the individuals who may have been exposed,” states Wood County Health Officer and Director Sue Kunferman. “If you were at the festival on either of those days and have developed symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, headache, fatigue, loss of taste or smell) please contact your healthcare provider to get tested.”

If you were in attendance, you are asked to stay home as much as possible until July 11. If you must leave your home, please wear a face covering, maintain at least six feet of physical distance from others, and practice good hand hygiene.

If you have questions or immediate needs related to COVID-19, call 2-1-1 or text COVID-19 to 211211. For up-to-date information, please visit the Wood County Health Department website and Facebook page.
