Victoria records 20th death; Testing queues chaos; Novak Djokovic tests positive for COVID-19

Victoria’s latest coronavirus outbreaks include seven cases linked to known clusters, one detected through hotel quarantine, nine cases through routine testing and three others under investigation.

Three staff members have tested positive at Hampstead Dental clinic in Maidstone.

“All staff members at the clinic have been classified as close contacts and will be tested,” Chief Health Officer Professor Brett Sutton said.

Three new cases were linked to the Keilor Downs family outbreak, all being close contacts of known cases, taking the total to 15.

An additional household contact of a H&M Northland staff member has also tested positive, bringing the total outbreak to five.

A social close contact to the case at St Monica’s College in Epping has also been diagnosed with the virus.

Villa Bambini Early Learning Centre in Essendon will also close today after a child tested positive.

“Contact tracing and cleaning are underway,” Prof. Sutton said.
