Hello and welcome to our live blog for Tuesday, June 23, as Nottinghamshire looks set to bathe in sunshine and high temperatures.

Nottingham is to be graced by scorching weather this week just days after thunderstorms and torrential rain caused flooding across the county.

The Met Office is also predicting the hottest day of the year over the coming week as a blanket of hot continental air makes its way towards the UK.

Today temperatures will start off at around 14C at 6am, rising to 27C later on this evening.

UV levels will be very high at 1pm, with a rating of eight, meaning sun cream must be worn for protection.

Wind speeds will reach a maximum of 19mph.

We will be here until 10pm tonight so, if you have a story or you’re out enjoying the weather in Nottinghamshire, then please tell us about it.
