SAN BRUNO – An East Bay man was arrested on suspicion of breaking into Capuchino High School in San Bruno last week, authorities said.
Officers were called to the school at 1501 Magnolia Ave. about 2:40 a.m. Friday for a report of a burglary alarm, said San Bruno police Officer Oliver Reich in a news release Monday.
Reich said officers detained the suspect as he tried to leave the campus. He was identified only as a 33-year-old Oakland resident.
An initial investigation found that the suspect had smashed a window of a building and removed musical instruments and other items, Reich said. The property was returned to the school.
Reich said the suspect was arrested and booked into San Mateo County jail on charges related to commercial burglary.
