Shot fired into home hits man's chest, barely breaking skin

400 block of Henry Street – A man was shot by a bullet fired into his residence at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Officers were dispatched to the location in reference to shots fired. Officers saw several bullet holes and casings outside of the residence. Officers saw several holes including two bullets inside the residence. A man said he was struck with one of the bullets in his chest area but it barely broke the skin. He refused medical treatment. Officers saw saw the front windshield and the passenger side front window both damaged on a vehicle outside.

300 block of South Diamond Street – While in the area Wednesday officers heard 6 to 10 shots being fired. Officers saw a vehicle with several bullet holes and found a bullet. There was video surveillance of the incident.

100 block of Columbia Avenue – While officers early Thursday morning were at a location looking for another woman, a 58-year-old woman came staggering by in the middle of the road and she was asked if she was drunk again. She said, “Yup.” She was placed under arrest as she posed a risk of physical harm to herself. She was taken to jail and issued a summons on a charge of drunkenness.
