Vanderpump Rules Reunion: Lisa Vanderpump fiercely shoots down rumors of affair with Brett Caprioni

Firing back: Lisa Vanderpump fired back at rumors that she had feelings for fired SUR server Brett Caprioni on Tuesday

Lisa Vanderpump fired back at rumors that she had feelings for fired SUR server Brett Caprioni on Tuesday’s third and final Vanderpump Rules reunion episode.

During the season 8 reunion’s last installment, the 59-year-old restaurateur served up scathing comments to SUR assistant manager Danica Dow, who had hinted at something going on.

Brett, 31, always described his boss in glowing terms, noting, ‘There’s not enough good things I can say about her,’ and calling her a ‘mother figure’ with whom he got ‘flirty.’

But Danica had set Lisa off by stoking rumors of an affair on the Vanderpump Rules After Show.

‘You can’t watch the episodes and see the way they dirty-talk each other and say it’s a mother-son relationship, because it’s not,’ Danica said at one recent taping. ‘He’s hot, she’s hot, and they both fantasize about each other.’

Lisa wouldn’t stand for that at the reunion, making Jax Taylor’s eyes bug out with her fury.

‘When she’s going on television saying I’m having an affair with Brett, that really p***es me off, because in all the years, with all my staff, I’ve never put a finger on any of them,’ Lisa vented, adding: ‘I have children. I have a marriage.’

Danica protested that she knew Lisa wasn’t having an affair with Brett, apologizing ‘if it came out the wrong way,’ to which Lisa returned, ‘It definitely came out the wrong way. Thank you very much. Been married 37 tears. Have two children. I don’t need to hear that.’

Lisa later called Danica ‘a loose cannon’ for blowing up at another employee in public, saying, ‘We’re gonna need to talk about that before we go forward.’

Brett was recently let go from the show for racist comments he’d made in the past, as was his close friend, TomTom manager Max Boyens, 27.

Stassi Schroeder, 31, and Kristen Doute, 37, also were fired last week for their past racist actions.

During the reunion’s final episode, which filmed before the four were fired, host Andy Cohen, 51, asked Lisa what made Max and Danica such good managers.

‘I’m sure you wouldn’t continue employing Max and Danica if they weren’t good at their jobs,’ he volunteered.

Lisa said that her team loved Max, who worked ‘so many hours,’ and was a good bartender, though she said she’d personally prefer it if he ‘wouldn’t go around banging the staff.’

She felt that Danica needed to grow up a bit, however, tending to make issues too ‘black and white,’ and being ‘downright rude on many occasions.’

She huffily reminded viewers that Danica was only a ‘floor manager, like an assistant manager.’

Lisa also had major issues with SUR employee Jax, 40, throughout season 8, even bristling when he accidentally referred to Vanderpump Rules as ‘his’ show.

In a long montage, Jax was shown describing himself as ‘a work in progress’ on every past Vanderpump Rules reunion, always vowing to do better than he had before, no matter the issue.

Jax himself has lately been in the press for writing on Instagram that Jay Smith, a black cast member of the TV show 90 Day Fiancé, had a big nose.

His business partner Lance Bass, 41, who officiated at his wedding, has spoken about the incident on his podcast and has since distanced himself from the Bravo star.

DuringsSeason 8, Jax described his brain as ‘sprained,’ and said he’d been feeling ‘crazy’ inside, all of which culminated in a series of rage texts he sent to castmates near the end.

‘Jax, work in progress, just like, Tweeting and Tweeting and Tweeting f***ing lies and lies and lies,’ jabbed his former best friend, Tom Sandoval, 36.

Jax was asked why he’d made such a point of skipping Max’s beach clean-up party, and offered that he didn’t feel like driving three hours to pick up trash when he had trash at parks nearby.

‘I am very, very good at apologizing,’ Jax went on, as Andy interjected, ‘I don’t think you’re that good at apologizing. I’ve watched you apologize and not mean it a million times at reunions.’

‘Well, I meant it this time,’ Jax said, asking Andy if he’d ever just apologized to fix a relationship.

‘Not really,’ Andy replied, asking Jax’s wife Brittany Cartwright, 31, ‘Is it daunting to have to apologize for Jax’s behavior for the rest of your life?’

‘I thought I was doing better,’ Jax interrupted. ‘I’m gonna have bad days.’

‘Jax, you’re instilling fear in your friends, and Brittany is making us scared to hurt her feelings, so you’re doing together right now exactly what we’re scared of,’ interrupted Stassi.

‘We’re scared of p***ing Jax off, and we’re scared of hurting Brittany, and we have to be able to be honest with you guys,’ she added. ‘Like, this can’t be a situation where we’re all f***ing scared to have an opinion.’

Stassi and Kristen wre released from the show for having called the police on black cast member Faith Stowers to falsely accuse her of a crime.

During the reunion, Stassi emphasized Jax’s own concerns about his ‘mental-health issues,’ depression, and fears of losing control, saying, ‘now we’re gonna talk to you about it.’

Ariana Madix, 34, had earlier spoken about her struggle with depression, which Lisa also said she went through after the death of her brother Mark Vanderpump, 59, in 2018.

Lala Kent, 30, revealed that her fiancé Randall Emmett had paid for Jax to see a therapist, but Jax never showed up.

Jax felt the cast was attacking him, and Brittany said she was trying not to cry, explaining that she defended Jax in public, ‘because he’s my husband,’ but yelled at him in private.

Members of the cast begged Jax to go get help and try to ‘do something’ about his issues, as Jax replied, ‘I don’t need any help.’

‘Go ahead and act like we don’t give a f***,’ Ariana shouted. ‘We give a f*** about Brittany and we give a f*** about you, and this is really annoying. Please f***ing do something.’

During a break, Jax said his ‘thick skin’ was getting worn away over the years, and he felt like Andy was always going after him, to which Andy said ‘My job is to call people out.’

Jax said he had gotten angry over three separate episodes that were then strung together, noting, ‘I feel like if I slip up a little bit, it’s all we f***ing talk about.’

‘You need to watch the show,’ Andy said. ‘I’m responding to s*** that you’re saying…’

At one point, Andy brought up several cast members’ estrangement from their former pals on the show, and Jax emphasized that he was fine no longer being close to Tom.

‘I want this group to kind of come back with the same cohesion that we went into it,’ Lisa said, encouraging the cast to return from coronavirus-related isolation better than before.

Brittany felt that Jax and Tom could be pals again if they just talked things out in person, telling Jax, ‘Just don’t be so angry.’

‘Don’t contradict me in front of these people,’ he retorted.

Elsewhere on the show, loose ends from the rest of the season were tied up.

In flashbacks, Stassi was shown trying to get her fiancé Beau Clark to propose to her.

The pregnant star explained that she’d cried hysterically on one episode where he hadn’t proposed because she’d mistaken Beau’s camera pack for a ring box.

Dayna Kathan, 29, then explained why she’d gotten so upset when Scheana Shay, 34, brought a psychic to her home, saying she’d never recovered from her mother’s death seven years ago.

‘I haven’t felt at home for one moment since she stopped breathing,’ she related, as several cast members who’d recently lost parents,  including Jax, wiped tears away.

Dayna said she’d tried ‘really, really hard’ to have her father in her life, and Jax said he’d contemplated trying to talk to his estranged mother, but neither of them could do it.

Brett was called out for saying that he felt ‘violated’ while shooting an erotic music video with Scheana, but refused to apologize for telling people he ‘easily’ could have had sex with her.

Asked whether he considered his close friendship with Max when he dated Dayna, Max’s ex, Brett said that he’d thought about it often.

He also revealed that he dated Dayna ‘for a little bit’ after the show wrapped, but said he ended things because they were going too fast.

‘That’s such bulls***!’ Dayna cried, saying she stopped things because she had ‘no more room in my life for one more person who wasn’t sure or wasn’t interested or wasn’t invested.’

Danica squabbled with Max, who wondered why she’d gotten upset when he slept with two of her friends.

‘Danica, is your problem because you wanna f*** Max?’ asked Kristen, who’d also hooked up with him, along with Scheana.

‘No! I don’t wanna f*** Max,’ an exasperated Danica said. ‘I’m just sick of talking about it.’

The show ended with its traditional toast with Lisa hoping to see everyone on the other side of the coronavirus pandemic  as the final shot showed Stassi.
