Clashes between protesters and police continued for a third day and night across the Bay Area Sunday, with police fighting protesters in numerous communities. There was more looting and violence, and San Jose and Walnut Creek joined San Francisco on Sunday in imposing curfews to try to keep the peace.

In Walnut Creek, with reports of one woman shot in the arm and scores of looters swarming the Broadway Plaza business district in broad daylight Sunday, the city imposed an immediate 6 p.m. curfew and asked all businesses “to close immediately. Please ensure your doors are locked & secured.”

Hundreds of looters also ransacked stores at Bay Fair Center in San Leandro before dark as police tried to control the scene.

Meanwhile, large crowds gathered in downtown Oakland once again tonight and there were false reports of an Oakland Zoo tiger on the loose. There was also looting at Fruitvale Station, and several people were arrested.
