The provinces of Malaga and Granada have officially now been granted Phase 1 measures and join the rest of Andalucia in enjoying a more relaxed quarantine.
IN a press conference being held by Salvador Illa, the Minister of Health, and Fernando Simon, the Director of the Centre for Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies of the Ministry of Health in Spain, they have outlined the new provinces who have moved onto Phase 1, amongst these are Granada and Malaga.
However, the provinces will have to wait till Monday May 18 before this decree comes into fruition and they can begin enjoying their new freedoms.
Other areas joining Malaga and Granada are the provinces of Valencia, and Castilla la Mancha, as well as Catalonia, apart from the metropolitan area of Barcelona, has moved to Phase 1.
Formentera (in Baleares), La Gomera, El Hierro and La Graciosa (in Canarias) advance even further to Phase 2.
