(ANSA) – Rome, March 24 – Some 10,000 people were cited for breaking coronavirus lockdown rules on Monday, the interior ministry said Tuesday.
That makes some 107,000 since the start of the lockdown on March 11, it said.
Some 2.2 million people have now been stopped and checked and one million shops checked, with 2,400 owners cited.
Shops have been shit down apart from food and drugs outlets.
Italians have been told to stay at home, only being allowed out for a walk or jog around the block or to walk the dog, again within 200 metres of home.
