MARYLAND – Changes are coming to the state of Maryland to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
During a press conference at 11 a.m. Monday, Governor Larry Hogan announced that all bars, dine-in restaurants, movie theaters, and gyms will close at 5 p.m. Monday. Takeout, drive-thrus, and delivery will remain open, as well as grocery stores, pharmacies, and gas stations.
In addition, Hogan also enacted unprecedented law that will prohibit all service providers such as cable TV companies and water companies from issuing late fees to customers.
Hogan says this change comes as a precautionary measure to save the lives of millions of Americans.
