Updated: Dramatic video and pictures show fire breaking out again at Gloucester charity Emmaus

Video and pictures shows flame and smoke billowing out as fire appears to break out again near a Gloucester charity shop.

Firefighters had been called out to Emmaus Secondhand Superstore charity shop, in Chequers Road, Gloucester, at around 5.30pm on Monday.

Footage and images shared with Gloucestershire Live showed firefighters back at the scene after 10pm last night.

We were contacted by a number of people to say that Emmaus had caught fire again.



Fire returns to Emmaus

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said fire crews were called back for a second, unrelated fire.

They said it was on the same site, but a different building to the original blaze.

Firefighters were called at 9.55pm, with crews from Gloucester North and Gloucester South fire stations, and an additional crews from Cheltenham.

Two jets were used as well as one hose reel and eight breathing apparatus.

The stop message was received at 12.37am and the last firefighter left at 1.53am.

Firefighters returned again at 7.30am to check the scene.



Fire at Emmaus

The original fire is believed to have started at an outbuilding behind the superstore.
