Police investigating early Sunday morning shooting at Dubuque Kwik Stop

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) – Dubuque Police are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting at a gas station.

They responded to the Kwik Stop at University and Asbury Road around 1:08.

According to our coverage partners, Dubuque in Pursuit, one person was shot in the neck and was taken to Mercy Hospital.

Police are searching for the shooter. The victim described the suspect as a black male wearing all black, who ran away from the gas station area toward Dodge Street.

Shortly after the shooting, dispatch said they saw a Silver Equinox on camera leaving the area and driving toward Flora Park. However, they do not know if the driver is involved.
