Kids showcase their projects at the Bibb County Technology Competition

MACON, Ga. — Westside High School hosted the Bibb County School District’s Technology Competition on Saturday morning.

Students from grades three to 12 set up their projects throughout the halls of the high school to present to judges.

It is all in hopes to come in first place.

The event lasted from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Seventh graders Breyant King and Jourdayn Vinson teamed up to present their robot. King says they put in a lot of hard work on their project.

“This is the Lego mine storm spike 3R and we love this project because it was really challenging. Took us two months to build, although some projects were shorter and stuff like that,” King said.

Students who take home the first place title will compete at the Georgia Student Technology Competition at the Macon Campus of Middle Georgia State University on Saturday, March 14.
