GO Care Community Health Center receives new designation

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) – GO Care Community Health Center is expanding its domain.
GCCHC received a designation as a federally qualified health center look-alike on Thursday.

According to CEO Mark Windham, this expansion has been in the works over the last 15 months.

The organization will now offer primary healthcare, behavioral health and support services to the people of NELA.

Windham said this is their first step to serving all patients across the region.

“It means that we’re removing barriers to accessing healthcare and behavioral health services for the people in our area who are uninsured, underinsured and medically underserved,” he said.

GCCHC will be adding several new healthcare professionals, medical exam rooms and office spaces to its organization.
