UPDATE: 11:00 P.M. (KNSI) – Authorities are investigating what caused a fire inside the garage at the Country Hearth
Bread sales center in downtown St. Cloud.

Flames
broke out at about 8:30 p.m. at the building at 444 East St. Germain Street. The fire was out around 10:30 p.m.

St.
Cloud Deputy Fire Chief Steve Wunderlich says the fire caused substantial
damage to the building and vehicles stored inside.

He
says fire crews mainly fought the fire from the outside of the building for fear
the structure would collapse. At one point, firefighters knocked down a garage
door to get inside.

No
one was hurt, and the fire marshal has been called in to find the exact cause
of the fire.

A
damage estimate wasn’t available yet.

The
Sauk Rapids Fire Department was called in to assist on the scene.

The
fire didn’t disrupt production at the Country Hearth Bread Factory next door.
