Las Vegas breaking news for Dec. 19, 2019

The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:05 A.M.
Las Vegas firefighters say one person is dead after a fire in a camper vehicle in a rural area near the city. The fire happened near Mount Charleston, near Kyle Canyon Road and Candy Street, shortly after 9 p.m., authorities say. Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas police are en route to investigate. 13 Action News has a crew on the way, check back for updates.

12:26 A.M.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say a serious injury crashed occurred when a Nissan Altima traveling southbound on Los Feliz Street failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection at Lake Mead Boulevard and was struck by a Nissan Titan. The Titan left the roadway and struck an NV Energy electrical box. The driver and passenger in the Titan fled the scene. The driver of the Altima was transported to UMC with serious injuries and is suspected of being impaired, according to officials.

12 A.M.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police report that a man was running across the street on North Las Vegas Boulevard, near Cathedral Way, when he was struck by a Nissan Altima after falling down in front of the moving vehicle. The man was declared deceased and the driver of the Nissan remained at the scene.
