  • It could also bring a new gen OIS technology called tilt OIS

There has been a lot of talk about the upcoming S10 Lite smartphone that Samsung’s reportedly going to launch in the coming weeks. And ahead of its unveiling, fresh details have emerged about the phone that reveals how the S10 Lite could actually be better than most flagship smartphones in the market once it’s launched.

This latest information comes courtesy of reliable tipster Ice universe who claims Samsung will use an “unprecedented OIS” tech on the Galaxy S10 Lite. While he doesn’t talk much about the technology, he does mention that it will be better than the ones we have on current flagships.

Although the report doesn’t reveal anything else about the OIS tech, however, previous reports have mentioned that this could be Samsung’s revolutionary OIS tech which could be called “tilt-OIS” and will be used on Samsung flagships in 2020.

Interestingly, Ice Universe only talks about the presence of the tilt-OIS tech for the Galaxy S10 Lite. However, as we mentioned above, this feature is also expected to find a place on the upcoming Galaxy S11 smartphones. As per the reports, this new OIS technology will allow the lens in front of the camera sensor to tilt a few degrees in different directions to compensate for your hand’s movements, in addition to the usual OIS technology.

Earlier, reports had claimed that the S10 Lite has could sport a 6.7-inch 1080×2400 Super AMOLED touchscreen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a centered hole-punch for the selfie cam.

There is also expected to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset powering the device. This interestingly will be found in all variants of the device irrespective of the region they will be sold in. The SoC will be paired with a core configuration of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage – the latter expandable via microSD card of up to 1TB capacity.

For cameras, the phone is claimed to get a 48-megapixel primary lens with an f/2.0 aperture and support for OIS. This primary lens on the S10 Lite will be paired with a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 5-megapixel dedicated macro lens with an aperture size of f/2.4. On the front, there’s a 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The device is also being claimed to come running Android 10-based One UI 2.0.

Keeping the lights on is expected to be a 4,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. The leak even claims to reveal the colour variants of the device and its pricing in Europe. The device will be offered in black, white, and blue, and it will be priced at 679.99.
