Man, 43, charged with attempted murder over stabbing of mum as she pushed pram

A 43-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a mum was stabbed three times while she pushed a pram carrying her child.

Josephine Conlon, 36, was stabbed three times in the back in Streatham, south London on Monday evening.

Mark Brazant, of Ealing, was last night charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a pointed/bladed article.

He is due to appear at Camberwell Magistrates’ Court later today. 

The victim, who was rushed to hospital, but believed to be doing ‘well’, was heard screaming: ‘I’ve been stabbed!’ after the attack.

Her child was not injured.

On Tuesday her father-in-law told MailOnline Mrs Conlon is still in hospital but ‘doing well’. He had been visiting his daughter and her husband from his home in Australia when the attack happened.
