Water main break turns Fall River neighborhood streets into rivers

A large water main break transformed some Fall River neighborhood streets into rivers early Wednesday morning. A police vehicle was seen blocking off the area near the intersection of Rock Street and Locust Street.WPRI reports the water main break was first reported shortly after 4:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Video from the scene showed water is filling streets near the Probate and Family courthouse, and Resiliency Middle School — cascading down the street like like a flooded river. No additional information was immediately available.
