BREAKING: St. Louis County plow drivers move forward with strike

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN– We’re learning from a Teamster’s Local 320 union spokesperson that county plow drivers will strike in the next ten days.

The union gave the county notice early Wednesday morning.

Teamster’s members voted almost unanimously last month to authorize a potential strike if their demands are not met.

The approximately 180 union members are asking for changes to their wages, benefits, and health insurance.

Contracts for union plow drivers expired Dec. 31.

When KBJR 6 reached out to the county about snow removal moving forward, they said St. Louis County will still be responsible for plowing and will release more details if warranted.
