WILLISTON, Vt. (WCAX) Police have made an arrest in a string of break-ins at convenience stores in Chittenden and Lamoille counties.
John Shambo, 56, of Burlington, is charged with four counts of burglary.
Vermont State Police say they interviewed two people in connection with the burglaries but said only Shambo was arrested.
The break-ins took place between Dec. 21 and 25 during the early morning hours at the Jericho Jolly, the Eden Mini Mart, the Cupboard Deli in Cambridge and the Madonna Mobil in Cambridge.
Police say in each case the burglars broke the front door glass or front window glass and stole a large quantity of cigarettes before fleeing.
