The members’ club hidden behind a secret door in Cardiff city centre
Right in the middle of Cardiff sits a huge blue door that looks like it should belong to a massive house in London.
Hundreds walk past the door on Wharton Street every day perhaps without noticing it is even there.
But inside you’ll find one of
Cardiff’s oldest institutions and probably one of the least known in the city.
Sandwiched between a bar and a clothes shop, the United Services Mess has been a place for both armed service members and Cardiff society to socialise and hold events since the start of the last century.
