CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. —
The Chattanooga Police department says a person was found dead on the 2903 Morgan avenue near the intersection of Doyle street.
Officials say they responded to call of a body found around 6 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived at the scene, police discovered a woman’s body. They say it looked as though the woman was dead for some time. Police confirm the woman died from a gunshot.
Police say property owners nearby initially discovered the woman.
Crime investigators are currently on the scene. We have a reporter on the scene as well.
