BREAKING: Arrests made in theft of Special Olympics donation jar from Yorkville business

Arrests have been made in the theft of a donation jar intended to support the Special Olympics of Illinois.

The details of the case were announced in a press release issued Wednesday, Dec. 11, by the Yorkville Police Department.

Officers responded to a call on June 24, from a business in the 500 block of East Veterans Parkway. Upon investigation, officers learned that a donation jar intended for the Special Olympics of Illinois and its contents valued at approximately $150, had been stolen from the counter of the business.

Offenders were later identified as: Brandon M. Bush, 25, of the 3800 block of Munson Street, Plano; Tremaine D. Bush, 24, of the 800 block of Serendipity, Aurora, and Tiffany Viggiani, 20, of the 2700 block of Jenna Circle, Montgomery.

Warrants were issued for the three for theft, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond was set at $5,000 with 10% to apply.

Brandon Bush and Viggiani turned themselves into the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department on the warrants on Dec. 1. They have since posted bond. Tremaine Bush was arrested and transported to the Kendall County Jail on his warrant on Dec. 8. He has since been released on bond.
